Metro Edge students compete in speech through the
National Christian Forensics and Communication Association (NCFCA)
Categories
Limited Preparation:
- Apologetics
- Extemporaneous
- Impromptu
Interpretation:
- Biblical Presentation
- Duo Interpretation
- Open Interpretation
- Oratorical Thematic
Platform:
- Digital Presentation
- Informative
- Persuasive
Students may choose one or more speech categories for competition.
Students in club will learn how to choose a topic, write a speech, and then present it with confidence. We will study both Platforms and Interpretations, and we will practice Impromptu skills. Students will receive feedback from their coaches, parents, and their peers during meetings. They will participate in a practice tournament before the spring competition season begins.
Younger siblings are welcome to join, too!
